Wisconsin Bank & Trust announced the opening of its newly built Cottage Grove Banking Center at 580 N Main Street on Monday, January 8, 2018. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Thursday, January 11, with bank staff and members of the local business community present.
The opening of the new building coincides with the closure of the temporary banking facility from which bank staff has served customers during the demolition and construction phases of the project.
“As many in this community are aware, Wisconsin Bank & Trust traces its roots back to the founding of Cottage Grove State Bank over a hundred years ago,” said Curtis Chrystal, President and CEO of Wisconsin Bank & Trust. “Given the long heritage in Cottage Grove, we are especially proud to open a welcoming, modern facility set to serve this community for many years to come.”
Julie Carstensen, Senior Vice President of Operations, said, “We extend our thanks to our customers for their patience through each phase of this exciting project. While the temporary banking center fulfilled its function well, we are especially pleased to welcome customers into the lobby of a beautiful new facility.”
Wisconsin Bank & Trust’s building project began on June 20, 2017, with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by city officials, bank employees, and the construction crew. The new building features a unique, modern design by Middleton-based architectural firm Shulfer Architects, LLC (now Sketchworks Architecture).
