Katie Lowery, Director of Integrated Control Systems at Strang, recently received her WELL Building credential.
WELL standards focus on design elements that assure building occupants will be comfortable and healthy in the same way LEED standards focus on qualities that save energy and reduce water use.
The credential is given by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), apublic benefit corporation whose mission is to improve human health and well-being in buildings and communities across the world. The IWBI certifiesprojects that meet standards and accredits professionals who pass rigorous testing.
“WELL aligns with our philosophy toward design, and fits with our company culture here. So it’s very fitting for Katie to have earned the credential,” said Strang President & CEO Larry Barton, also a WELL-accredited professional.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She became a LEED-accredited professional in 2012.
