MADISON, Wis. (July 31, 2017) – The Madison office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), one of the nation’s premier commercial general contractors and construction managers, has completed the construction of Cabela’s new store in Albuquerque, N.M. — the 28th Cabela’s store built by Kraus-Anderson.
Designed by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates, the 70,000-square-foot store joins the Legacy at Journal Center development located near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Paseo del Norte. It becomes the first Cabela’s location in New Mexico. The new store is scheduled to open this fall.
The building’s exterior reflects Cabela’s popular store model with wood construction, stonework, and metal roofing. A glass storefront allows customers to view the store’s interior as they approach the building.
The store’s interior features dozens of museum-quality taxidermy mounts and wildlife displays, as well as vintage outdoor photos and memorabilia. The store also includes an archery and firearm tech room, indoor archery range and Bargain Cave.
