CEC Launches New Website Design for an Improved Customer Experience

Hiawatha, IA (April 5, 2017) – CEC (Communications Engineering Company), a nationally recognized systems and technology integrator with locations in the Midwest, has launched a new website design at www.cecinfo.com, along with a new tagline: “The Experience Matters.”

To improve the customer experience and offer free education resources, the new design offers quick, easy access to essential technology information for CEC clients and technology decision makers.

The website redesign also reflects the customer-focused changes that CEC has made over the past year. In January 2016, the company announced a realignment that focuses on technology suites instead of one large company structure. One general manager oversees each of the five technology suites: audio/video (AV), IT, safety and security, structured cabling, and two-way communications. Newly created enterprise service groups offer client support through CEC’s Customer Support Center (CSC) and Project Management Office (PMO).

“By offering intuitive access to CEC’s solutions and services, along with many continuously updated industry resources, the CEC experience now extends to our website,” said Melissa Henderson, director of marketing, CEC. “We know that ‘The Experience Matters’ every time a client or potential customer interacts with us, and that includes the online experience as well.”

With new technology content that is consistently updated, CEC’s website redesign serves as a one-stop resource for sharing pertinent industry information, including white papers, case studies, B2B articles, and more. The website also provides helpful information about CEC’s technology solutions and partners, news, and events, as well as customer spotlights that showcase how technology can be used to solve a variety of business challenges.

About CEC
With offices in the Midwest to serve local and national customers, CEC offers solution design, integration, and technical services specializing in audio/video, IT, safety and security, structured cabling, and two-way communications. Focused on the customer experience, CEC partners with clients to understand their businesses, tailor solutions, and plan for future technology needs. Study Features Madison As Place of Industry and Innovation, Highlights Impact of Research on Economic Growth

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (April 4, 2017)

Contact: Erik Greenfield, Communications Manager, 608-443-1952 (office), 608-669-7884 (cell)

MADISON – Today the Atlantic Council released a new report, “Keeping America’s Innovative Edge,” that provides a strategic framework for reinvigorating innovation in America and includes policy recommendations that cover subjects such as research and development, skills training, education and city planning. Madison was one of four U.S. “tech hubs” – along with Boulder/Denver, Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area – featured in the report, and Chamber board member Aaron Olver, Managing Director of University Research Park, was part of the expert panel at the event launching the report.

In response, Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce President Zach Brandon released the following statement:

“To be one of just four tech hubs profiled in this report is a tremendous validation of the progress the Greater Madison region is making toward being recognized as a place of industry and innovation. As the report states, place matters, and with the right tools, investment and intentional action, Greater Madison is well-positioned for continued growth and recognition.

“While the report includes many encouraging signs for Greater Madison’s economy, there are cautionary notes as well, particularly when it comes to a long-term decline in government-funded university research. This report highlights the critical impact that research has on our innovation economy and serves as another warning lawmakers must heed about the direct correlation between public investment in universities and economic growth.

“UW-Madison is a world-class research institution that supplies the state with skilled talent and technology transfer into the marketplace, but that reputation and associated output cannot be taken for granted. To maintain our global competitive edge, it is imperative for state and federal policymakers to reverse the trend in declining research funding.”

You can read the full report here.

Waunakee, WI – Suttle-Straus is excited to announce that the Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) has recognized them for printing excellence. Earlier this year, Suttle-Straus submitted several print samples for consideration in GLGA’s annual Graphics Excellence Awards (GEA) competition, one of the largest printing competitions in the nation. Winners were recently notified of their achievements and Suttle-Straus is proud to be the recipient of five Best of Category awards.

Judging for the GEAs was completed in early March by a panel of experts in the print and production industry. Each entry was judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included clarity and neatness, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual impact.

In addition to the Best of Category awards, numerous Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Merit were given to other projects. The Best of Category award-winning entries will automatically advance to the Premier Print Awards competition, a nation-wide competition hosted by Printing Industries of America, where each entry has a chance to win the coveted “Benny” award.

Ted Straus, President of Suttle-Straus, states, “We are extremely proud of our dedicated team and the work they put into producing beautiful print pieces. It is a real achievement to continually be recognized as a company that produces top quality, award-winning materials.”

An awards ceremony to celebrate all the winning entries will be held May 24 at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee. Additional awards for Best of Show, Best of State and People’s Choice will be announced that evening.
