Mark Xistris is the new Vice President of Provider Relations at WPS Health Solutions. He succeeds Brett Davis, who became President of Aspirus Arise Health Plan of Wisconsin.
Xistris comes to WPS from The Alliance, a Madison-based cooperative of more than 240 self-funded employers and insurance trusts. He joined The Alliance in 1997 and held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President, Business Development and Provider Relations. Earlier in his career, he worked in managed care contracting at UW Health in Madison.
Since 2005, Xistris has been a member of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Health Information Organization. WHIO is Wisconsin’s all-payer claims database, governed by a board that includes providers, insurance carriers, employers, and the state of Wisconsin. He is in his second term as treasurer and is chair of the Audit and Finance Committee.
Xistris earned a Master of Accountancy – Health Care Fiscal Management from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
