Starion Financial was named to “The Best of the Best” list by Independent Banker magazine and received a superior rating from BauerFinancial.
Independent Banker is a publication of the Independent Community Bankers of America, an organization that represents more than 6,000 community banks of all sizes throughout the country. It separates banks based on asset size and ranks the top 25 by their return on average equity (ROAE) and return on average assets (ROAA) ratios. For 2015, Starion was evaluated as a subchapter S bank with assets of $1 billion or more. Starion was ranked number 10 for ROAE and number 13 for ROAA.
Based on data from the first quarter of 2016, Starion also earned a five-star “superior” rating, the highest possible, from BauerFinancial, the nation’s leading independent bank and credit union rating firm. BauerFinancial has been reporting on and analyzing the performance of U.S. banks and credit unions since 1983. Quarterly ratings are assigned on a scale of zero-to-five stars, with five being the strongest, and are based on the overall financial picture of the financial institution. The ratings are independent, meaning no institution is able to pay to be rated or excluded.
“Earning recognition from Independent Bankerand BauerFinancial speaks highly to the hard work and dedication of every Starion employee,” says Craig Larson, Starion president/CEO. “They work diligently to help our customers succeed and when our customers are successful, our bank is too. This, in turn, allows us to support our employees, our customers and the communities we serve even better.”
