Second Harvest Foodbank recently nominated the Alliant Energy Foundation for the AFP 2016 National Philanthropy Day Honors Program in honor of not only what they do for us, but for many nonprofits in their service territory. The next stage in the nomination process is a public voting process that goes through May 13. If they make it to the top three in the Outstanding Corporation category then we will submit a written proposal for why we think they should be honored. If they win they will receive national recognition for their giving practices to the communities they serve.
