Madison, WI - In their February 2016 edition, InBusiness Magazine recognized seven business leaders in the Madison area for their third annual “Executive of the Year” Awards. Eric Schmidt, Owner and General Manager of CG Schmidt’s Madison office, was selected as the Small Business Executive of the Year.InBusiness determines their honorees based on organizational excellence and demonstrated leadership.
In particular, Eric Schmidt was recognized for his efforts in leading the Madison branch to tremendous growth and success in the local construction industry. CG Schmidt has been completing work in Madison since the 1970’s, and the firm officially opened a Madison office in 2006. However Eric relocated to Madison in 2010, when CG Schmdit made the corporate decision to focus resources on growing the Madison office. Eric has diligently led that initiative and under his leadership, the Madison Office has increased the number of local clients by 2,500% and increased staff in Madison by 1,450%. Furthermore, CG Schmidt has won and worked on 28 projects out of our Madison office in the last year and over 50 since Eric began his role in Madison.
